CAT TH 407 Two speed radiator fan

Hi. Our TH407 overheats and we are certain that the fan does not change to fast mode. Is there ant way of checking what mode it is in and how to make it change speeds?

umm not sure on the cat but with a manitou if you unplug one of the solenoids on the fan motor it goes flat out.

There is no 2 speed engine fan on them, either a normal belt fan, hydraulic reversing or cleanfix. Would be looking at the thermostat first, ours has stuck open in the past, yours might not be opening at all
