Catfire Biomass boilers

Anybody had any dealings with the above boilers
Just had an installation quote with one of these included

how does your quote compare to others youve had. From the outside it looks like a Herz Firewin but im not sure about it being from Czech Republic. I cant say ive ever heard of them.

At the moment the quote is not broken down into individual components, but its a re-quote from one that was done last april when a windhager was specced
About 6k less, but other items may have dropped in price as well.
By far the cheapest quote we have had ( like 30k cheaper than some )

Bit like quoting a Rolls Royce to a Mini both get you from A to B but one in a bit more style. No nothing about Catfire but Windhager have a very good reputation.

if there is 30g between a windager and catfire then they must be very cheap boilers. assuming the difference is the cost of the boiler as the pipework etc would be the same. you get whatyou pay for!!!

No its 30 k between quotes from different companies, the cheaper one has dropped 6k from initial quote with 2 45kw windhager boilers to 1 100kw Catfire

Apparently hertz were made by the same company and then split away?? i think
Catfire have been making large boilers up to 500kw but are now making smaller ones to fit the market that is now out there 10 year warrenty on parts 20 year on structure of boiler.
Have a meeting with the catfire rep on tuesday, so hopefully a bit wiser after that

Catfire are called Hamont boilers
Fair bit on net about them being clean enough for smokless zones

We have installed Catfires, very happy with installs even the boss (of the company) has one for his house and holiday cottages made under licence in CR same design as KWB

Hi i have been installing and servicing the cstfire boilers. yes they are made in the czech republic, but to a very high standard. the same people desighed the boiler, desighned the herz and the kws, only from all 3 i would go with the cstfire anyday.

I find CstFire very good been dealing with them for over 5 years. Build, working quality is excellent.

Incorrect the only thing CstFire and herz have in common is that the core chassis was designed by hammont. Woodpecker have brought out a 60 to 100kw range of boilers under the badge name CstFirell/Smart boiler.

Have had a Catfire in for coming up 9 years now and relatively trouble free

I use to work for Renove, left about a year and half ago. A lot of Renove customers have come over and left Renove, I still get support and parts from CstFire.
