Hi just looking for opinions on the best make cattle feed barriers, to suit 15ft bays above a concrete panel wall. Options are IAE, Bateman and jourdain.

I like the idea of horizontal round bar , but we would find it impossible to keep young calves in the shed with their mothers,( sucklers) , it’s bad enough with the diagonal type.
Yes that is an issue but I’ve got a grand plan to hang a rubber on the front edge down to the panel so they can’t see through

Biggest problem we find with all of them is getting calves stuck at the hips (half in, half out). Got diagonal feed fence panels and also several high density feeders with vertical rails and have had calves stuck in all of them. They get into the habit of sneaking in when young for a feed and sometimes a sleep too, only for one day to be too fat to get out which then results in big panic to get them out. Tried ratchet straps and timber rails clamped half way up but cows just push the straps up over time. We now leave correct spanners in tractor so that we can dismantle panel quick if need to.

I'm just in a similar boat at the moment, what barrier did you go with in the end? I often wonder if a galvanized gate with a few rails cut out would make a suitable horizontal barrier?
