@andybk get that horse ready...
2@ £935 3/4 bred 18 month old
1@ £885 3/4 bred 14 month old
2 @ £885 1/2 bred 20 month old
1 @ £780 3/4 bred 8 month old
3 @ £805 3/4 bred 10-12 month old
1 @ £880 Beef shorthorn bullock out of a blue cow 10 month old

I’m well happy at that. I know it’s a lot less than you northern lads are on but you can always knock £150-£200 off your prices down here. The cattle aren’t quite the same. 👍

Did you sell in top shed or bottom, and which do you think was the dearer ring ?

They were missed out of the catalogue 🤬🤬🤬 only entered them 3 weeks ago! 🤨

So they went through the bottom shed right at the start. I watched the suckler cattle go through then came out of the top shed. Too many people for me at the moment. I didn’t need too be there once the outfits had gone through so I jumped ship.

Look just the job to me! It’s profit that counts I might be spending £1.00 on cake to get £0.80p back!!
The older ones were out till 5th Jan on haylage, young ones were inside on haylage. When I put them all together put them on haylage, chopped carrots & 2 kg of grass nuts a day plus minerals in a trough for adlib. Not massive expense on them, had 2 quadrants of straw between 12 in the shed the whole time there were cattle in there. Lots of woodchip though. We used too force them a lot harder but we’ve found if we just get them going nicely and bounce them into a store sale just as they get going well we make just as much money as forcing them.

Anything born June onwards gets run around for a second summer, that’s where the older cattle come from. So first winter they get haylage and minerals plus a bit of chopped roots same as their mothers.

good. he has sold some kit for us and done a good job . but am finding it hard buying cattle , i
guess thats just the trade!
I always try not too buy from Auctioneers I use too sell my stock. If I want them too sell mine it usually means they are pillocks who push you too the very last penny!!

Bought plenty off Graham, can happily say I’ve never bought anything off Mark. He just doesn’t sell what I want!

I’d hate too be trying too but stores at the moment.

Some very plain outfits in today were getting over £1200. Looked very well sold I thought.
