Cattle grazing cost. £per day

A friend has asked my opinion. He has been offered some grazing beside him that has got ahead of the owners sheep. He would like to run his suckler cows with calves over it as he is getting tight for grass.
What is fair on both parties as a cost per head (cow) per day. Neither of them want anything longer term just to manage the current grass.
Thoughts?

What's going rate this year?
What area are you in?

The usual "How long is a piece of string"!
Depends entirely where you are.
In this area you would be doing the sheep farmer a favour in tidying up the ground so no payment either way.
There are hundreds of acres that will not be needed for Hay as most barns are full. We have over half of last years silage left.
Plenty of free grazing at the moment.
It is also raining at last so it looks as if there will be plenty of grass!!
