Due to our impending move this summer I’m pricing up cattle hauliers to haul our stock down to just north of Truro and am looking for hauliers in the area.
I have spoken to Ellis, Daveys and Trevarthens. Is there anyone else that would be recommended that I have missed. Would be a couple of artic loads.
Thank you.

Lisa Davey or David Ellis I would say, I use Lisa and can’t fault their professionalism, they are always running up north and would be able to do backloads and run artics, trevarthans don’t run artics. Isn’t there anyone else up you way that would come down? Cattle always travel better on artics than lorry and drag.

Lisa did seem good on the phone likewise David.
I was going round the Cornish ones first as they are more likely to be up here than my local ones down there meaning there would be a better chance of a backload. Also can’t get an artic into the farm so would need a rigid to do the final bit.

Iv moved our milking herd plus all other stock to two different farms, Davey's have done it, three artics and four lorrys on our last move, (think white red Ellis lorry helped) top class firm to deal with, delt with father and now recently daughter, spot on, I'd happily pay extra £5 a head and now it's done right.

Where are you heading to in Truro?

I’d go for Lisa. She would be able to tie together the lorry changeover. I’d think she would be the most reasonably priced out those mentioned above. Are you moving to the Duchy farm just outside Truro?

Give Cornish Quality Livestock a call, they'll have lorries going up country regularly and might be able to recommend someone who'll have a back load
