I have one like this on our IAE crush, we bought it when they first came out I think it came from Australia but may be wrong must have had it 8 years perhaps and its been great I wouldn't be without it. If you need to drop it quick hit the ratchet release lever with a bar or hammer
Great for drenching and bolusing but the cattle also stand better for most things with the head scoop up

IAE head scoop here on IAE self closing yoke crush. Two bolts to fit it. Ratchet easy to release.

Works well.

The only issue I have is sometimes having to adjust the self closing yoke for different neck thicknesses but that's a different matter.

does the scoop get in the way

Not that I've noticed. Drop it right down and it swings out and doors (yoke) open full width. The yoke arm bolts to corner of crush frame so doesn't interfere with the operation of the doors.

The scoop handle sticks out a bit but easy enough to walk round it to get to ear tags etc. If you aren't using it, two bolts, IIRC to remove it which I do sometimes to stop cattle messing with it if the crush is in the pen.
