Cattle movement

If I move cattle on to my farm , how many days is it before I can sell cattle or sheep in a live mart ? , it use to be 13 days but is it now 6 days ?
Is there any way of cutting down the time when you can not sell any thing after bringing new animals on to the farm .
are the rules the same in England as in Scotland ?

What does a isolation area consist of and who do you apply to ?

There are exemptions for bulls, I think - and possibly all breeding cattle. Worth a call to your local mart or department office as one of those will be absolutely clear on the rules.

If you’re tight for time, you can always get the new ones on to a linked holding and move to your place later - if you have a neighbour with a spare field/ shed for a day or two? Off before on is always easier.
