Cattle Shed Drinker / Water Trough ideas

We are fitting out a new shed for housing anything from weaned calves to finishing cattle.
In our existing shed we have got water bowls on the posts of the feed fence but they take up 1 feed space in each bay and surprising how they stick out into the feed passageway.
Seen these and thought they look handy but haven’t had price yet. They would go at the back of the scrape passage

Also thinking could just put a water bowl built into a frame between the scrape and bedded area?
What have you found has worked well please.

From a cost point of view, I always think it's a waste to put an expensive roof over a water trough and always try to find a space outside, preferably outside the pen to keep the poos out.

Appreciate that's more difficult in big sheds with multiple pens.

This is what I have, cows, calves or stores, not risked it with the stock bulls though.

I bought them as I fire the straw over from the fron with a spreadabale which gets in the tanks in the older yards, these tip very easily and hold back very securely.

I imagined emptying them every day, in fact the cattle keep them mighty clean and I actually emty them when i muck out the scrape yard every month and then they hardly need doing.

The pen has been emty for weeks and will be cleaned, we have about 8 cattle on that size. Doesn't seem that they cue. High pressure fill here - 10,000L header tank (collecting rain)

EA have been everywhere around here. Any dirty water on yards will result in having to have a slurry store
Just finding this out. We collect all water off concrete yards, this is collected in 3 stage settlement tank. Then filtered and spread automatically with pump and irrigator system. Been told to switch off immediately. You couldn't make it up
