Cattle farming is terrible, so we must all self flagellate and eat pretend food to save the world:

Or, cattle are actually great, saving the planet whilst producing top quality, delicious real food:

I don’t know who’s more confused, me or Bill Gates??

One thing he's not confused by is how to grab media attention. It really is a massive PR strategy telling the world how good his company is and how their products have all the answers for you to upgrade your technology and throw out your old stuff. Consumerism and control. Two of the biggest businesses on the planet. Both of them shafting the planets resources too

Gates much like the UN, read what they say , then do the opposite, odds are that's the correct thing to do.
People like Gates have a vested interest in a lot of about they promote rather than a genuine concern for the environment or society.

I find this interesting. He is a certain age, he knows he can't take it with him. Is the desire to acquire riches beyond comprehension an addiction ? Or is it that there actually is a desire to do the right thing before he pops his clogs, but he is simply misguided in this instance ?

It’s an addiction, that addiction being power and influence, riches is just the means.
To be like God was the temptation in the Garden of Eden, not much has changed.

If you are eating laboratory grown synthetic meat you are basically tucking into a juicy lump of Cancer. They don't tell you that in their adverts! :yuck:
I find it hard to believe that anyone would actually part with their hard earned money to buy this stuff, it’s utterly mind boggling, it’s shows how detached from nature/reality/sanity people have become. If you can convince people that this is what they should be swallowing, they will swallow anything!

Yes. I belìeve people like him suffer from the delusion of importance, I have concluded a person who has contributed their entire life to society or even sacrificed their life to make it a better place are of greater importance that those who think wealth and self importance are worthy by their interference in society.

New York Times today published an article. They're pretty convinced that cattle can help sort this carbon sequestration.

A Different Kind of Land Management: Let the Cows Stomp https://nyti.ms/37mefc4

As was said earlier, the issue seems to be more in the mindsets of those who wish to manage and have control.
The cattle themselves are not actually the problem.
"Biden administration, in its initial moves to combat climate change, has cited agriculture as a “linchpin” of its strategy. One idea is to allocate $1 billion to pay farmers $20 for each ton of carbon they trap in the soil.”

I was dumbfounded by the Bill Gates interview on Radio 4 one morning this week. He actually said that we don't need to change our lifestyles, just our consumer choices. A very easy sell but monumentally wrong.
A clear example of how he became one of the world's wealthiest people.Steal a dream and sell it back. The person with the least need for more money in the world, selling out humanity. He must believe he is greater than god[or anyones version of such an entity].

Gates appears to have a bad case of Messiah Complex. That's me being generous, by the way. If I was feeling less generous I'd say that he's simply trying to create new money-making opportunities for himself. He did pretty well out of his investments in a couple of fake meat manufacturers, and you can bet your boots that he's being buying up vast tracts of land in the US with an eye on flogging carbon offsets in the future.

Either way, he's still a massive [censored].
