What difference does it make? Changing the date won't mean that they cheque's value is altered!

But then they're a funny lot in North Devon, a guy was forging £18 notes, when he tried to change one they asked "2 Nines or 3 Sixes sir?"

Is that 12th August or 8th December? Honestly, does it really matter? The level of paranoia on here is amazing - if it’s not the potential for spurious date changes it’s mind reading smart home devices. I don’t know how some people get out of bed in the morning.

No actual expiry, but most banks work on six months.
