CAV fuel pump?

Morning chaps.
I need to remove my CAV injection pump from a Perkins A6 engine!
Do these need marking before renewal? Or are they sat on a dowel? Which mean they only fit in one position?

It’s sat on two triangle plates? 3 studs! Do you mean undo the bottom plate and remove?

remove the pump only not the adapter plate. by that i mean the three 5/16" unf nuts on the slotted holes at the base of the pump. there should be a mark scratched between the pump base and the adapter plate to line up when you refit it

i always take the adapter plate off with the pump as andy says the pump to the adapter has slidey hole adapter to block is round so you cant get timing wrong when you refit

Undo the top 3 bolts? Or the adapter plate bolts to remove!?

Scrape the paint off below the nut in the picture holding the pump to the plate. There should be a mark on the pump and on the adapter plate. If not make marks. Leave the adapter plate on the engine

Hi Mate! It’s my 1200! She has been playing up! This spring planting season so ad she is 40 yrs Old this coming June thought I would service all the fuel system!

Just bought this drill at a local farm machinery sale! £300? It came with loads of parts and spare rubber tubes, and two handbooks! As we crop now over 10 miles radius having the end tow is a great benefit[emoji6]
