When JD stopped fitting an external antenna I started doing it and it works very well

You used to be able to buy a splitter back in the day for CB and FM radio off one aerial, quite how that worked out I’ve no idea.

On my previous tractor, using the CB aerial with a splitter box significantly improved my radio reception

No 2 aerials on the tractors 1 for the cb 1 for the radio . Only on the JD's with a sunroof the rest all have only 1 for the cb in the middle of the roof but they all have external radio aerials.

I just made up a short coax with a standard radio antenna connection and got a double female cb joint so it just screws onto a standard mag mount coax
