No OSR this year

Winter bean area down

Not selling straw next year

Dropped winter barley

Keeping it simple for next season, two wheat varieties, some spring barley and oats and a few winter beans

Then dont.. I dont get the point of the tread! If you need to sound off or talk to someone, pm me! Trust me Brexit is far worse than any of the above

Agree Brexit is going to make the above look very easy.
I think by doing the right thing of growing several different crops we create more problems than we solve.
I don’t need to sound off, well not about that anyway!
Thanks anyway.

It is. 1/5 stewardship. 1/5 fallow 1/5 new grass 1/5 wheat 1/5 something in spring. If prices are poor the spring fifth will be grassed or fallowed.

Bloody hell that's sad. Some of the most productive land and favourable weather in the world, very close to a lot of people and we're talking stewardship, fallow and a bit of grass (probably for horse hay).
Meanwhile much of the rest of the planets working with poor soils, suffering with no rain, or extreme temperatures, spending millions on irrigation schemes and bulldozing forests, to try and grow food.

Somethings got severely cocked up somewhere along the way.
