Centerliner spreader settings

Hi,

We've ended up with a 2002 Tulip Centerliner SX for doing our fert this year, but no idea about settings. Was wondering if anybody would be able to help us out.

Fert is 20-9-9-7.5 Sulphur in Origin bags and 27% CAN also Origin hopefully to 24m

Any help greatly appreciated.

Don't know if they still do it, but I did have a settings book off Teagle for my Lely Centerliner. It had various different types of fert and the settings required. Unfortunately I sold the spreader this winter.

If it's the same as the lely centreliner you need to check which gears are in the box before trying to throw 24m, one set 10-18m the other 18-24.

Was it a different gear set or was it simply swapping the gears over?
It’s a while since I had a centerliner but I thought it was just a case of swapping the gears.

There was different gear sets and could be swapped top to bottom in some cases as well .

Can only speak for lely centreliner superbowl it was definitely change gears

Best thing to do for settings is start in a small field at a lower rate and sort it from there when I had mine that's all I had to go from then just kept note of which hole did what fir each fert I used and with a bit of guessing got pretty good at it

Ok just checked
Up to 15m gear set 21 top 14 bottom, disc speed 810rpm, 27" off the ground or crop
16-24m gear set 23 top 12 bottom, disc speed 1035rpm, 27" off ground or crop, tilt 10 degrees,
and 24m only 30" above ground or crop assume still with tilt, I had a bit of stick cut to length as an easy check.

Always bigger gear on top shaft and 540 pto shaft.
You may get the disc rpm setting by changing tractor pto speed instead, book doesn't say.
