@Clive guessed it. There is a box on the registration form which you have to tick IF you want them to use and pass on your data. If you don’t click it, they can’t do so.

They would prefer you to do so, so that they can use your details to get an idea of what you will find most interesting at future Cereals Events. Can’t blame them for that, can we?

Can’t emphasise enough how much quicker it will be for everybody if they can register on line and print their bar code to access the show.

Interesting visit to site today. As mentioned by @Daniel, the bridge over the A505 for visitors heading in from the West is up.

And we aren’t the only ones suffering from these little orange buggers!

The site is really beginning to take shape now. This year, every section will be zoned better and there are guided tours you can book online or join at the show.

I hope they pay their consultants well ? Lot of Comercial companies seem to think farmers time is free when looking for help whilst paying others involved rather nice salaries !

Asked to be on a panel at Cereals. Was offered two free tickets. I asked for payment for my time and travel and I have been told they are not paying any speakers! How can they have a serious conference type event there if they won't pay for speakers. It's not as though Cereals is a charity! If it was I would think again about charging. Are they going to let stand holders have free stands? Obviously not. See you all at Groundswell.

it happens a lot - look how you see farmers used in advertorial in magazines all the time and I never hear of any that get paid for their time or testimonial etc

as you say if nothing is being made from it then fine to help for free but when other see financial gain then those that make it possible should be paid

I don't get this conference stuff at Cereals. Why travel 300 miles to sit in a tent in the summer to listen to a talking shop? We can do that here

It lets very important farmers have their say in front of a roomful of slightly less important farmers.
Well you can come and listen to me for free at 12 on day 2 at the controversial conference.

I’ll tell you for free how to set up a simple joint farming venture sharing machinery and labour, without having to set up a 3rd company that owns all the machinery assets.

But I will charge you (not a lot) if you want the magic spreadsheet I wrote, that splits the value of the tractor and the machine it is pulling if they are from each farm, accounts for which farm provides the driver and works out who owes who how much, each month.

If you insist on giving me something, it is my birthday that day (14th June)!

I would call myself a very important farmer, but they have given me and Mrs Two Tone VIP tickets. Before you ask @Clive, they haven’t mentioned anything else payments wise!

I wonder how many other professions there are, where we are so good at helping, or at least offering to help each other?
