Seems the car parks were all full. Though by no means crowded amongst the stands.
It’s moving next year to North Notts, which IMO will be good for the show.

Apart from lots of robotic tractors, nothing seemed new.
I think many are just dazed and confused with the whole farming situation. Yes crop prices look good, but financing the inputs to get there are worrying.
On top of which this whole fiasco re ELMs and just about every consultant and his granny wanting to have their cut.
Nice though to have a chance to talk about real farming, without all the ELMs crap!

One or two interesting debates in the AHDB theatres, again by those hell bent on trying to extract money/allegedly offering their services re the ELMs fiasco. And me saying stuff it, it won’t work and with things as they are, now is a golden opportunity to farm ourselves out of the loss of BPS, until or if some sense returns.

Just one day it would be nice to be able to go to a Cereals event to celebrate farming without being scared sh!tless about its future!

Boss said when we first announced we was going " you won't see anything better than you will at home " sounds like he'd been for a noisy at the weekend...

Friend sent me this picture of RT stand. Zoom in and look at the body language of the guy with his arms folded and looking out. Going to be a long two days on the stand for him 🤣🤣🤣

Was quiet first thing, although we were in at 7.40
By late morning it was pretty busy I thought, had a good feel

If nothing else it was nice to catch up with people face to face for a change and to stock up on hats, pens and notepads that have been dwindled since I last went 3 years ago!!

Was finished by 3 and home by 5.15 so good result

Highlight of the day though was being within meters of @Clive although my giddiness prevented me from approaching him, and besides, I had nothing for him to autograph as the free pen situation was on the slack side
