Certas Ad-blue IBC refunds

Has anyone had a problem getting refunds on their IBC returns. I have 4 outstanding over the past 12 months totalling £648.inc VAT.

I know it's more fool me for keep buying from them but no more from now on.

Generally on fuel they take some beating where we are.
Although on red and kero I was able to get 5p cheaper on both elsewhere this week and was happy to place my order away from them.

Don’t you put them back on the lorry that’s delivered your full one? That’s what we do with ours. We buy from Landowner products I’d say it’s better for them better for us

Same with fuel supplier here.
Was a £100 deposit on first add blue ibc from them. After that it’s just take new full one off, empty back on and that’s it.

Yes, returned on delivery lorry.
Meant to be credited when condition checked with no seals broken.
The driver that delivered the last one was able to show me all my delivery and return barcodes on his iPad.

But why do you have to pay in the first place we paid £100 on the first one then just 1000 litres at whatever the price happens to be for the stuff thereafter as long as they get the empty one

They charge you for the ibc and credit when checked. Problem is no credit refunded means that the next one comes with it charged again.
With covid, things got if I can get hold of ad-blue problem solved but now the problem is getting the credits back.
Also price is a factor. They have always been very competitive and supply Yara.

Do you not have an account with them?

I would be knocking the fee off each invoice when payment was due.

I have done that now for the first 2 but the threatening letters keep coming. I have a file full of them.
This morning I told them I would be posting on farming forum and that it will make a difference to where people order especially if the price is similar to a competitor.

Had one load red off them at good pricing after canvassing me at the RWS.

Next time around they were told to stick it. When i ring for fuel, i expect to be put straight through to a person who can quote me, competitively there and then.

Certas apparently dont operate like this and an area rep has to call you back and find out what price others have quoted.

No one else does this.
