The 3 weeks of government aid are nearly over, gas prices are even higher now than when they last shut down

what happens next ? Looking at the global picture there is going to be massive N shortages fir 2022 crop, that’s going to really hit world wheat stocks

time to buy 2023 futures ? Certainly would not be selling any new crop forward guys !,,

this is all getting a little serious and out of control imo
The good news is that CF is going to produce CO2 again. The bad news is that the customers have agreed to pay a price, not the taxpayer. Price of CO2 gone from £200 to £1000 if that gives a guide to fertiliser prices.
My slurry store will need an armed guard next year

High prices will mean higher production... and lower prices... the nitrogen thing wont have as much effect as a UK farmer might imagine, many acres are sown with the hope of 1 Tonne/Ac with very little inputs.. some places on the planet a farmer will think i will just do another days drilling and bingo, another 1000 acres.

Apparently CO2 does have a value, and fertiliser may become the byproduct and pigs might fly.

Anyone know if the N + s is made at Ince or Billingham? Or both
Billingham only makes Nitram, and any product currently being made is purely to deliver outstanding orders. The NS & NPK compounds are made at Ince for which CF have said yesterday .................... ' CF Industries’ Ince Complex in Chester, UK, will remain offline. The Company does not have an estimate for when production will resume at the facility'

Yes, low input, but not no input, those big air carts ain’t just full of seed, they hold phos and urea. Every farmer around the world will be doing the same calculations as you and I and many will be reaching the same conclusion.
These fertiliser prices could affect every single crop grown to a lesser or greater degree, from wheat to corn, from sunflower to rice.
Throw in a weather event and we’re off to the races.
