A collection of 4 saws, hedge trimmer and pressure washer have been recovered thanks to an accidental discovered of a cache left in a Mid Shropshire wood today. I would be delighted if I can assist with their return to the rightful owner/s. Most likely taken and stashed in the last 48hours.

Chainsaw, hedgecutter, pressure washer with drain meter attachment and 2 mowers stolen from a neighbour whose garden shed backs onto my field just over a week ago. One Honda 21”mower was new replacement for the other. This was part of 4 properties which were burgled the same night. Don’t know further detail on make etc. Just checked and it was the night of 8/10/2020.

Our suspicion is they are from somewhere fairly local to the find, most likely some place/places between Cound and Much Wenlock There has been a spate of recent thefts of similar equipment in this area in the past few days, it is every night. I think they must have taken enough gear recently to fill a shipping container

My mate is still trying to get though the system to report these, what a joke  It gets more ridiculous.. After a few failed attempts to report though either 101 or the website he heard there was another break in at his neighbors last night... My friend called round to see them and soon after a scene of crime investigator arrived... great he though... hey Mr Officer, can come round to the next door farm when you are done here, I have found some stolen gear I need to report.. "Sorry chap, I can not help, taking reports is not my job, call 101 to report it. :banghead::banghead: You cant make it up! No wonder the crims treat the countryside like its a supplier of free goods..

Update...
Had two break ins in the last 6 months. Chainsaw, strimmer, pressure washer, quad, trailer and power tools. Most recently 4 weeks ago in the cross houses area.
I doubt there has been a night in the last couple of weeks when there hasn't been at least one quad or chainsaw lifted within 5 miles of here! They seem to be trying to make up for a quieter period earlier in the year. It is believed at least one local break in used a sonic device to silence the dogs. Anyone use sonic devices as a deterrent, ie shotgun blank, alarm mines?

It was nice to know we at least recovered a £1000 of gear back from the c**ts. Just a pity knowing the police are not responsive enough to come fit the haul with a tracker and do some real good!
Like that's going to happen. A few years ago I had several (consecutive) electric fencer units stolen. The local Police supplied me with one with a tracker fitted, which was stolen a few nights later. As the tracker showed it to be several doors down from a known petty thief, the Police wouldn't attend to retrieve the unit !

Sad but true! I reckon Given a day I reckon I could mass enough angry locals to surrounded such a property and then force the police to take action, but would have to have our own trackers as I assume the police didn't share the location information with you!

should leave an item there unknown, with one of those ebay trackers in, soon find out which campsite or house its bound for. I think they did something like that around blackpool and traced it back to an address littered with stuff that had gone walk about. I think in the west midlands around the area you are describing is a pretty bad hot spot for things being raided. Neighbour keeps having some sort of horticultural produce dumped in his gateways away from farm with a lot of aluminium tubes and those annoying clay pellets every few weeks.
