for machinery store I’d cap with Plainings.
Hi Sid.
What was your base & depth below the chalk ?
Was it soil, or roadbase, or crushed rock, or lime, or ... ???
Many Thanks
Julian
Tyres dont dig in.^^,Will it not lift when you muck it out ,,tyres digging in ,muck fork tines will go straight through it
How do you get it right ?If you're in a chalky area you will get it delivered free, we use it a lot in cattle sheds / cow tracks etc. Get it right and it goes like concrete, get it wrong and it goes like porridge!
Who do you get it from?Had hundreds of tons delivered free in the last couple of years for cow tracks. Presumably they charge enough to the building site to cover it, and the alternative landfill would cost them. Still getting phone calls wanting me to take more.
Got some coming up in a few monthsThinking of using chalk floor on straw/machinery shed
1) is it better than crushed limestone or road planings
2) is it cheaper than the above
3) where can I get it
Might be interested May time once yards are mucked out, let me knowGot some coming up in a few months
