as above really, just thinking what could change to help agriculture. One big change I would like to see is the break up of the environment agency and a return to common sence approach to river maintance and habitat management

Policies and legislation lobbied for by Chairities, Environmental Groups and Universities do not adversely affect their bottom line.

Policies such as "Reconnecting Rivers with the Flood Plain" are quite frankly dictatorial and quite frankly stupid - as are "Rewilding".

The agenda from Liberal and Socialist organisations has predominantly been to harm "Tory Farmers" - never ever forget this, it should colour every action we take remembering these groups want to see us destroyed.

Krebs needs dealing with as much vigour and determination as he showed in attempting to destroy dairy farming.

I don't believe this will improve our lot in agriculture other than ensuring we exist rather than being exterminated.

Above all I would like to see a government and industry funded organisation devoted to best of practice farming - no influence from the Environmental lobby.

1) Cost reduction - I note there seems to be avoidance of quick wins associated with Digestate, Compost etc Rexamination of EU chemical policies which were most likely political.
2) Higher production - unavoidable IMHO because at the root farming needs money.
3) Alternative inputs, could include capture of inputs currently going to the sea. ie Ponds on farms absorbing supposed lose of nutrients via drainage. Would require digging out to regain nutrients.
4) Crops, Livestock DNA etc
5) Interfacing to industry, GM
6) Co operative ventures with Vertical Integration into Commercial activites such as Heat & Power, Retail and manufacturing - with some emphasis on sustainable communities in small populations. ie Farming help delivering cheaper sources of home heating and power in remote areas.
7) Technology & Automation, some easy wins possible here IMHO.

Some foreign produce should be banned if deemed unfit to eat, health risk, polluted or infested with parasites.

If produce is deemed produced with methods below UK farmed production standards then importers should face a social & environmental tax.

I would like to see a guaranteed payment to UK agriculture produce based on observance to UK agriculture policy & legislation:

1) Produce.
2) Area usage.
3) Environmental benefits - personally I don't want to see this at all as it's common sense what you want on your farm and I want to farm not F about creating wasteland fit for nothing.
4) Public usage - time members of the public recognised there is cost & insurance associated with their access.
