Changing brake liners on a kramer 312 shovel

Just wondering how does the two pins at the top that hold the liners, how are they took out to remove the liner
Are they screwed in or pushed in. There is a split pin at rear
Mine seemed to be seazed and dont want to damage them my forcing them out

I have just got to the same stage on my 212. I will be making a slide hammer to wind into the thread in the end and also using heat by the look of it.
Have you had any success finding replacement parts?

He used to be kramer dealer until Ripon Farm Services went onto Kramer. New brake shoes are a fortune. £400 would be cheap I think.
I have some spare here from our kramer days. ;)
He'll keep the seals for the cylinder too, and new pins.
There's very little movement in the cylinder so the pivots amd adjusters need slackening off and filing out, rebuild with copper grease and adjust right up.

Replacement bearings for hubs easily sourced.
I have to replace a front kingpin, it may even be just the bottom bearing.
Haven't tryed around yet. Any ideas who has spares for them

Have dealt with Kevin a long while ago and have spoken to him today, the shoes can be relined but my issue is now the wheel cylinders are unfortunately beyond a reseal. Don’t think these are easily available so they will probably end up in the machine shop.

My kingpins are horrendously bad but haven’t plucked the courage to tackle them yet. Someone has been welding the bottom nut in place by the look of it so it will be a fair big job.

Got my pins out this evening using some high tensile m8 threaded bar to make a puller and also used it as a slide hammer. Had to heat the area as well but eventually came.

I am doing my kingpins but its a big job as the threads have gone on the bottom nut and the last person has just welded the caps in. I am also having to bore out the hub back plate and sleeve or make an oversize pin as the hubs been turning on the pin not the bearings! Sorting the brakes out is turning into a massive job for me

Yes top and bottom on all 4 wheels
Hi Gary
Talking to you a while back on this
Im beginning to remove the kingpins as well in my kramer 312
Can you remember are they anticlockwise to loosen, mine seem serious tight
Also had you to replace any pins them selves or are they fot to still be got

I cant tell you the thread direction as all my thread has gone. I made new big nuts and plugs on the lathe that I have welded on the bottom to get the bearing preload.
I had to bore out the boss in the back plate of the hub so ended up making a new pin, which was bigger diameter to take up what we machined out. Also made new seal ring pieces. If you cant source a new pin let me know and I could make one

Yes anti clock to open.
Had to build up some of the king pin shafts and run them to size on the lathe....
