Changing wheels

My MF 575 is on 13.6x38 and the tyres are totally gone in both sidewall and thread. Been on the lookout for 2nd hand replacements for a bit.
Have been offered a pair of 16.9x38 wheels & tyres at decent price.
I know 16.9x34 would be the correct size for this tractor but would there be any issues in fitting the
38 's ? other than maybe having to fit larger fronts.
It is only 2 wd. There seems to be plenty of room under mudguard.

Always felt 575s were under tyred 12.4 11 x 36 or 16.9 x 30 was the normal !8.4 15 x 30 and 750 x 18 on the one here helped a bit similarly the 590s were on 18.4 x 34s and 900 x 16 fronts . with the big wheels on the back and 10 x 16 on the front to balance it up it would be a better tractor.

If the tyres fit under the mudguards , you are good to go. But you will be 4-6 inches higher which may give issues for trailers, implements, pick up hitch etc.
it will probably push up speed by 30% if I remember correctly, which can affect pulling on hills or draft work

Really , you sure thats right?30% seems a big increase.

And just to give another alternative, our 565 came new from Dobby’s in 1980 on 14x30s, 7.50 x16 fronts and with an 80 loader. Lasted to about 1500hrs and something in the multipower pack blew apart, metal fragments throughout the transmission, went for a ride on a boat!!!

Height will increase by 2 inches, speed by 12%
