Charging a stop start car battery

Hello, For the first time this century i am having to recharge a battery on a car, Mazda 6 -petrol, which has both stop start and regenerative braking.
The battery is one of the high-tech ones and it does not have those removable plugs, which you unscrewed on the last battery i recharged, but there
are 2 small holes along the top lip of the battery - vent holes ??. Any advice on recharging this type of battery is welcome, as you can guess, i'm used to
lead-acid batteries. Many thanks.

Is it one of those screw in side terminal batteries?
Th e 2 terminals are on the top, the battery looks normal to me, apart from the fact that there are no removable plugs, which
you unscrew before charging. Are the 2 small holes on the top lip vent holes??, instead of plugs ??

Just use a normal 12v smart charger then as a lot of batteries do not offer the removal plugs these days for safety reasons. Without seeing the picture - the two small holes may be vent holes (some are on the sides at the top).

EDIT: to note, what age is the battery and how long has it been discharging, as the battery may be on its last legs, and any cold snap could see you stranded - so may be best to change to a new battery?

These guys are excellent in service and not too off on prices of batteries on the most part.

The car is over 6 years old and on the original battery, it's got stickers with Japanese writing all over it, so - yes, slow charge overnight, and
if it's succesful, down to the battery shop, and have the alternator checked so i can be sure what with winter on the way.
Many thanks to all those who have replied, my knowledge is way out of date!!!.

Charge it slow overnight then go down the battery shop and ask them to test it
They will tell you if its just flat or down on capacity
