Hi. Im not on here much. I may get swamped with responses but was wondering who could recommend to go to for Charolais rams. I’m in Sussex. I’d like to put them on texel x mule shearlings. Thank you.

I do indeed. Around 60 shearlings for sale, all reared on forage so they don’t melt, and from the top ranked flock with Signet. :)

I’m at SY15 6UL so a fair way from Sussex admittedly, although I have sold rams to customers down there. I don’t offer nationwide delivery as I’m only a one man band and I don’t charge enough to pay someone to do it.

PM me if you, or anyone else, wishes to discuss further.

........... :scratchhead: I'm trying to remember just where I got the tup from :scratchhead:.......

Somewhere in Montgomeryshire, I think :scratchhead::scratchhead:

Oh, I see the man himself has been here before me :whistle:

Seriously though, without wanting to blow smoke up his @rse, you could do worse than talk to @neilo .
The tup I have does exactly what he said it would - tight skins, fast growing (at 40-42 kg a good 10 days quicker than a Texel), easy lambing. Ideal for our early lambers.

The only reason we still have Texel tups is for the late lambers - we sell live and by the time the Charolais sired lambs are hoggs, they are a bit woolier and get knocked for it, where we sell.

I suppose, in these PC times, I should also add that 'other Charolais breeders are available' ;)

I breed Charollais rams in Sussex and have bought stock rams from @neilo

I think all mine are spoken for this year, but not 100% sure yet. You're very welcome to come and have a look at what we do. A Charollais on a Texel x mule produces a lovely lamb.

I've messaged you my contact details (y)

Just for balance we've got some cracking Charolais lambs out of texel mules, that weren't sired by one of @neilo tups :ROFLMAO:
I had a couple hundred from my own bred charollais rams, their either hanging up or being eaten now mind, very quick finishers.. needed some new blood for my terminal flock so went to the only charollais breeder I could find that is on as close a system to mine as possible and ended up in Montgomery @neilo ’s :ROFLMAO:
