I came across this mower for sale recently, it's being sold in pwo , looks clean and straight , and it seems to be good value for money, what's it worth and are these good machines . I might go the tripple route at the price .

We demo a set like that when we had a JCB 3220 & it was OK on the flat in light crops in big crops & hills it was a waste of time you could cut more with a front & back on it it . Them mowers any were from £5000 to £14500 depending on how good they are under the hood

Get them bought.. Ran my first set on 170hp, steady away up hills but fast down and still easily do 12k on the flat no problem. You’ll have a great cut quality and not bouncing out the seat like you see some idiots doing with a single 10ft.. also a lot easier to see foreign objects! If one breaks just pull shaft and fold that side up then youv still got a double outfit (y)

I see plenty of tripples working with 250 hp and no problem , that's some statement , " you'd have nothing to get the output out of the."
Sure buy them so.
If you dont want lads opinions then dont ask for them.
I stand by what i say and you know ot yourself 90 hp will be slow mowing with a 10ft conditioner in big crops multiple them all by 3 its the same result you will get
I can only work off what you say as far as im aware you have no tractor to give them 10hp per foot so as for it being some statement its a fact!

I just looked in at the conditioners and every flail is straight and the rubbers are tight. So I can't see a big bill there. It not bad at €5k.

There,s one sure thing about buying a 2nd hand set of triples, they been well worked.
Maybe not , I know of 10ft mowers doing 3000 acres / yr , and tripples doing less , divide that by three and it's only 1000 acres / mower . Also the speed that the single averaged it's life working is probably twice as fast as the tripples , so it could be shook apart. The reason I'm interested in them is I'm thinking of changing the back mower , about 7 k to change , or keep the back mower I have and buy these for 5k , then I have a set of tripples and a spare back mower . My front mower was bought new last summer. So I could end up with four mowers for less money than only having two mowers. So I'd end up with spare mowers which is never a bad idea.

I work front and back already on 200 hp and it's a lot easier to drive than when I had a 10 ft on 100 hp , so in reality your theory isn't right . There's plenty of lads running tripples on 200 hp , but nobody running a 10 ft on 67 hp.
