What is the cheapest make of commercially used tractor to service,so no Dexta's,135's,Olivers,etc,say 90hp plus?
DIY service, 100hp 11 year old Valtra 6350 in the region of £750 for '000 hour air,fuel,engine,hydraulic/back end filters and oil changes,Valtra parts and oils.I know a 3 year old bigger 160hp Valtra is approaching £1400 for the same by a dealer. This is using Valtra oils and filters,to validate extended warranty.
I know you can get like for like oils and filters cheaper, but it's not that easy to source the same spec oils, just similar and not being an engineer,it leaves me a wee bit too uneasy to go for it.That kind of money for a service, whilst obviously essential seems like a big cost to fork out on a regular basis.
Having said all that,a JCB fuel filter for our ancient, used daily 520/2 telehandler, £3.50.........

Zetor. The air filters were wire wool - backflush with petrol and you’re sorted.
DB's were wire in an oil filled base, just get it out and set fire, just had to remember to take of the rubber O ring  and not over fill it or it could suck up the oil and race the engine, saw a massey combine that had a oil airfilter that had been tipped over, oilin the intake and it raced untill I blew a BIG hole in the block:eek::eek:
