If its your own domestic tank then local recycling will take. MUST be cut up and rag out clean. £5 charge.

If its not your own, they will still take but you'll need higher teir waste transfer licence. This is a fair bit of money. Again, cut up and rag out.

Recip saw best. Cut into 4 quarters if under 1300lt. If bigger, then into more parts (for ease of handling)

Local skip companies, around £150 into their skip at base. Get about 3 cut up, into one.

If the recycling centre cleaned them out then I'm sure many gardeners could use them as compost containers. Or at the very least put people in touch with each other that could re-use the items.
