You could not pay me enough to even attempt to dissolve manganese powder in anything, it is a PITA and you will curse up and down for a week when it blocks a nozzle, very not so fond memories of having to do that stunt years ago. Maybe an IBC whilst mixing it with a steam cleaner but I can't see it is ever worth it.

Is proline off patent yet? It would be nice to have an alternative to Prosaro that was co-formulated.

Thanks Static & An Gof, very helpful indeed and a conversation shall be had...

I am presuming neither of you have concerns regarding the formulation or efficiency of generics? Do you use them for all actives wherever possible?

There are generics and there are generics. The generics I get are either recomended by agronomist or buying group, so I know they will be fine. It could be that you have an indy who is a "one man band" and so doesnt have the same level of confidence in sending you a generic s/he hasnt used before. But iirc tebuconazole is one of the most used fungicides in the world, so as long as it is from a known manufacturor all should be fine.

I have no worries about generics but be aware that you won't be getting some of the adjuvants that help the product e.g. Hallmark has microcapsules for slower release & a longer period of coverage, Bravo contains the WeatherStik that enables good coverage and rainfastness.

As long as the main distributors sell them I've yet to have a problem with any. I would be wary of anything not sold via the main distributors, by word of mouth or by post. Rotam's direct delivery system is the exception - their generics are fine.
and yet you dont think a saving by using bagged mag is worthwhile on another thread, same thing to me, just saying

Touché! :)

I just hate spending a lot of time mixing powders that I will be flushing out of blocked nozzles later to save a bit. Not buying Prosaro saves hundreds much more easily.

Always add your X-Change to the water in the spray tank before adding the chemicals.

Was told to make sure you have 90% of the volume of the water in your spray tank, add in the x-change and then your chemicals, so you are not adding in a load more hard water on top of the chemicals

I don't quite work like that - the conditioner goes in the hopper first then the rest goes in afterwards as the sprayer fills with water. It will all have to fight with the calcium when it gets into the tank!

wouldt bother with Kantor , the only research work been done is by themselves. Have asked numerous individuals for an unbiased independent benefit for using it to which no one has come up with a credible reason for it
