Any prices for pallets generic gly? Are all formulations now minus tallow amine? Agronomist and I were thinking that probably means we need to up doses a bit which is not ideal.

Tallow amine glyphosate had a last sale date of 30/06/17 and a use up date of 30/06/18 - so unless you have some in stock all new product coming from distributors will be tallow amine free. In terms of cost - generic 360g/l - you might find some at sub £39 / 20 litre.

Thanks, that's roughly what I thought. No point trying to ring round to find some with tallow amine in then! I normally add ammonium sulphate/wetter to the mix anyway.

Circa £2/litre for generics. Monsanto stuff like Motif is a bit more.

Don't forget that these generics are missing most of the adjuvants & additives of the Roundup branded versions but for another £ or so/ha more you can add your own according to what you want to do - anti foaming agents, hard water, wetters, drift retardants, penetrants, surfactants for waxy leaves etc. My osr desiccant also had X Change water conditioner (very hard mains water here) and Podstick.

Thanks that's what I will do. Had a quote at sub £40 a can generic.

What job are you wanting the ammonium sulphate to do?
TBH I cannot remember the detail, maybe completely wrong, many threads on here but 'water softening', maybe incorrectly termed but I believe its an acidifier and is the main component of several 'water conditioners'.

Hi Brisel,
As a manufacturer of circa 200 million lts (globally) per year of Generic Glyphosate i would like to comment on this.
Rosate is a fully formulated product containing an equal content of Adjuvant / wetter etc as the branded versions, please do not be miss-led by the fancy advertising that it is an inferior product. All our trials support this.

Can you clarify one thing please? Does your glyphosate have all the same ingredients as Monsanto's branded Roundup products? Yes or no will suffice.

I've no issue with Rosate, Master Gly, Gallup, Clinic Ace, Hoedown or any of the other generics. All are different colours when you decant them and not all originate from Monsanto-made salts though many are bought in from them at different stages pf production.

You pays your money & makes your choices. I choose generics because I don't think branded Roundup always represents the best value.
