Is Barleyquat B just ccc?

No. It also has "a unique, patented, biochemical system which makes the CCC more effective at low temperature (down to 1 degree Centigrade) and reduces the phytotoxicity of the CCC.". As does Bettaquat, Adjust etc.

Do you believe the hype? Given that last time I had barleyquat B on the farm it was £6 a litre vs £1.20 a litre for BASF CCC. Why would I be applying CCC at 1 degree centigrade etc? I dont have a label to hand, but they might not even be 720g/lt, so less CCC for loads more. Have you ever had a problem using straight CCC before?

Pay your money, take your chance.

Would it not be useful to add your supplier and purchase arrangement ie. service or supply only when posting prices that way a transparent comparison can be made? For example I paid £139 for nutri-phite supply only from Agrii. Looks like I am better off than Jon's £142 but not if his is a service price.

I think with nutri-phite it is a closed shop. Think procam is only other place to get it and its same price. They are not having to discount much for the supply business. Supposedly other phosphites are not as good?! I would guess there is an absolutely huge profit margin on it.

I understand what you saying and probably used a bad example what I was trying to say is that it is difficult to compare product prices on price alone without knowing the terms of purchase

Agate 5 litre. £106
Phoenix 10 litre. £83
4 Yleld extra 10 litre. £64.10
Adjust 5 litre. £50.29
Nutriphite PGA 10 litre. £142
Canopy 5 litre. £105.91
Kayak 5 litre. £97.50
Manganese Aloy 5litre. £47.17

Agrii :nailbiting:

£9.43 per litre for Manganese?? :wideyed: Hopefully thats not straight Manganese because the last lot I bought was 58 pence per litre.

For info when I last bought off Agrii in 2009/10 season we paid:

4 Yield Extra 10 litres £54.82
Adjust 5 litres £41.72
Nutriphite PGA 10 litres £129.92

So they have not really increased their prices terribly in 4 seasons. Maybe they are realising they need to change their approach a bit?
