Asked how much Glyphosate was couple of weeks ago, he says 62 or 3. I says should be in 40's, Ah but 40 quid stuff doesn't work, you need 60 quid stuff cos it's got magic properties! Sounds a bit :poop: to me

The £40 stuff makes them less money. :D It works fine, as long as it is based on Monsanto produced glyphosate salts (Clinic, Samurai, Hoedown, Master Gly, Gallup & Roundup, plus a few others). You may need water conditioners with the generic stuff in hard water areas. You can add in stickers, drift retardants, surfactants yourself depending on what you want to do but they almost always work out cheaper than the branded Roundup formulations that have them all built in.

When you do get a price, would you please share it with us. Give me some ammunition to throw at my Agrii salesman. Thanks

No prices yet. I have just checked & the invoice hasn't been processed.

He could be quoting for 480g rather than 360 though.

If 360 g/l is £38/20 litres then that's 0.53 p/g or £43.54 per 15 litres of Snapper pro rata. Higher strength formulations do tend to be a bit more expensive so I'll bet you won't get a can for £43.54. You'll be paying a few more pence per gramme for saving on packaging.

I haven't had a price for 480g/l kernel from headland which is in 15ls yet, but it does contain wetters and has always been competitively priced. It's always my product of choice.

Fluoroxpyr was expensive before it came off patent. Don't know what is going on with Atlantis however. I think it comes off patent this year, but it is currently about £50per can more than it was 4 years ago and about £70 a can more than when it was launched.
Good profits to be made on products with falling efficacy it seems...
