Sheep are a credit to you. I will be there again to try and buy afew ewe lambs, last years trade frightened me and I went home empty handed, clearly I should have had your faith and bought some.
I’ve heard the shearling trade is very poor this year but would be happy to offer you £150 each and save you the transport if that helps

No it’s all or nothing I’m afraid. I’m looking forward to seeing them on Tuesday and I’m sure you will be rewarded well for what looks to be a fine run of sheep !!

It certainly didn’t dampen the trade! 264 mile round trip for 6 Cheviot Mule ewe lambs. I wouldn’t mind but by 2/3 of the way through the sale I was taking strong tuppers too 150! And still being left behind!

If it's any consolation it was just as wet here that day as it was at Longtown. I had the stove on in the living room and a cuppa trying to keep me warm as I watched that sale from my dry armchair
