No it's a Deosan one, i think it's called active barrier. There's no real evidence of it by next milking except that the tests feel slightly greasy and are a bit stained orange.
That's what I have used for a couple of years, after have problems with the chorlhexidine dip I was using at it was stripping the skin off the teats.

It's the lactic acid rather than the chlorhexidine that helps the teat condition.

No Ag merchant makes their own tear dip to my knowledge- just re-labelled from one of the main manufacturers. Occasionally you may have an exclusive specification.

looking to change to a chlorhexidine based teat spray in an attempt to get rid of some of the warts on our 1st lactation heifers. We currently use a standard iodine 3:1 concentrate and add 5% glycerin in spring and autumn. What are the main benefits of using a chlorhexidine based product?
Teat condition, persistency of action and generally good kill of pathogens.

Only downside to Chlorhexidine is at least one clinical paper that said it had a marginally lower efficacy on a couple of pathogens so depends whether thy are present on-farm. Iodine per se is not the poor teat condition issue but the quality and levels are...
Crap iodine = higher inclusion levels (>5,000ppm) in the dip/spray. This makes it V harsh on teats so loads of emollients chucked-in. This helps but not enough and they also act to reduce the efficacy/make unstable the (crap) iodine thats already there. = Vicious circle! Great quality iodine products are OK. Always check 1st though that if you are using lime in cubicles. Bad reaction with iodine!

Use Chlorhexine ( Evans Four Seasons Masodip) think its brilliant for teat condition, and seems to do the job for us annual SCC around 100, but dose nothing to get rid of warts. Trust me I know! and I wish I didn't.
We have all sorts of warts including some very large ones , pin pong ball size +. Wish I knew how to get rid of those, can see them just starting on heifers we are bulling now.

We get warts bad as well, got a trial of ivermectin and a custom made homeopathic in an attempt to get rid of them

I juse spray the stuff :cautious: but ours is minty and smells lovely  The greeny blue colour does make the teats look like they've got hypothermia though

Re warts.
Make a 50/50 solution of hypochlorite and water and put it in a spray gun. Run the heifers with warts through the parlour and spray once a day. The warts should dry up after a couple of days and you can start picking them off. You just haven't to make them sore.
Pull a few, grease her up then carry on in another couple of days.
