Any flavoured milk is supposed to be the ideal recovery food as it had the desired ratio of 3:1 carbs to protein, whole milk more suitable if you’re trying to shed a few lbs as obviously less sugar/carbs.

Milk is great stuff really, there can’t be many things in the world that could beat it on nutrition/£.

Many a day I made thru with chocolate milk keeping me going between meals when I was working extra hard, works for me as long as I can keep it cool and fresh.

err, i cant remember the exact details, but i know one of the off road desert racing teams here ( motorbikes, think Rally Raid / Dakar kind of stuff ), maybe GHR Honda, anyway, their pre race meal was a white bread banana sandwich ( carbs & potassium ) & recovery involved chocolate milk, for the reasons above

i think there is also a sodium / salt content ? Which is important for recovering from physical exertion as well
