Apparently they are popular in USA, I wondered if anyone had done one in this country.

A friend in the village has planned a Christmas light switch on & I suggested we decorate some tractors & have Father Christmas in his sleigh on a trailer.
She thinks it's a great idea

All suggestions welcome, links to lights etc appreciated

Thanks

Will they be allowed with covid restrictions?

I would say it's a good idea specifically in response to corona. Our village normally has a Christmas street party but that has been cancelled, what you suggest would be a way of having something going on, can't see an issue with a tractor and sleigh/ trailer going round chucking sweets to the kiddies on their doorsteps, basically a carnival float but at Christmas.

The Larling tractor run is great and raises lots of money for local charities.think it was started for old tractors but last year it was mostly R series deeres and a few 4220 fastracs and heard several of the vintage owners moaning about it

Sadly I think those lads will kill it, if the organisers are not very careful. Be a great shame if it dies I believe it raises a lot of money and Andrew needs the custom too at the moment. I have not heard if it is going ahead this year.
