Looking to sell Christmas trees this year. Just wondered what everyone’s thoughts are on selling them this year with COVID. Will people be going out and buying them?
many thanks.

We also sell Christmas trees both wholesale & retail. We are hoping that people are more determined to celebrate the festival, given that it's about all we've got to look forward to this year! Family gatherings will have to be smaller, maximum of 6 depending on the local lockdown rules. What will this mean for tree sales? More but smaller, the same as the anticipated turkey demand???

What measures have you taken for Covid? We have a shop as well as the trees themselves so we've installed an extra pay point for the trees outside. That might mean less through the shop but big queues of folk are a no-no. We've considered click and collect or bookings for a set slot. We've even considered deliveries but that looks a nightmare for costs, vehicles & staffing. We just don't know how this will turn out! A local circuit breaker lockdown would be a serious restriction for us.

Christmas....in a burger. Turkey, slice of stuffing, sausage, bacon, cranberry sauce.

Wap in a bun. Add sprout. Paper plates. No washing up. Plenty of time to play with toys. This was 2015 version. Mrs teslacoils and I take turns. She does roast. Takes hours. Proper boring. This year is my turn. I'm doing fried chicken in a basket, blackforest gateaux, prawn cocktail.

That Avatar of yours wouldn't be Oliver Cromwell per chance!! :) Having said that you are a man after my own heart but I am too much of a wimp to even dare utter a negative about Crimbo in this household!

Not buying one. Was £50 last year. I like £50 more than a tree in my house. This will cause a certain level of strife, but it's my turn to do Christmas, so it's no tree, and no roast.

We do branches which after drying can spray with glitter if so wish and then hang the decorations from the twigs. Add Lights. Look really good. I put them in the two front windows onto the village high street with a selection of cones collected over the years and all the kids old xmas bits and bobs.

We will be having a tree and spending some money. Nordmann fir have got cheaper last 5 years plenty about and more competition in my area. £30 for 5’ with short trunk- we have a stand that adds a foot!

I have a three year old and it’s wonderful. Used to go out until 4am Christmas Eve/Christmas Day but them days are over for now my liver Thanks me for it I’m sure

We will also do a nice roast as I like cooking and it’s not often I get chance.

Looking forward to not having to spend the run up to Christmas dodging invites for the big day as i like to be at home anyway on the day. Boxing Day is for tripping around if necessary.

Not seeing anything I don't like! We have sandwiches Christmas night, turkey, sausagemeat, stuffing and cranberry sauce. 🤤🤤🤤🤤

But the main event is a full on turkey roast with all the trimmings. Our daughter loves to help stuff it the night before.

Juries out If we will have a real tree this year, the last one cost £60 and if the cat yawned half the needles fel off!

If going on a forecast similar to PYO pumpkins is anything to go buy, then yes folks will be buying them, probably more than ever. It seems that with massive restrictions across the country, and all but a select few events continuing more people have used this as a respite from the pandemic. Through my eyes anyway.

Unless a nationwide lockdown happens I imagine you will be very busy. locally, record numbers of familys have turned out to the farms doing the pumpkin picking experience. IMO Christmas trees will be the same.
