If going on a forecast similar to PYO pumpkins is anything to go buy, then yes folks will be buying them, probably more than ever. It seems that with massive restrictions across the country, and all but a select few events continuing more people have used this as a respite from the pandemic. Through my eyes anyway.
Never been pumpkin picking until last Sunday. I couldn't believe how busy it was!!
It was very popular.

There was two separate picking places in the space of about 2 miles. Both v v busy. Surprised they could do it as entrance was on a main roundabout into Bath. Lots of mud on the road!!

N.b I think Halloween is the mother of all non-holidays. Wife's idea 🙄

Have a good think about who else sells them in your area, there will be more than you think. Supermarkets, Wickes, B&Q, garden centres, etc.
If you are not in a convenient position or can offer something different such as PYO you will be disappointed.
But I think demand will be good, It just depends on local restrictions and whether folks can actually get out to buy them.
One can pick up a pumpkin for £1 at the supermarket.
People seem all too happy to spend 3 or 4 times that amount to traipse through a muddy field to pickup a green pumpkin and ruin their white trainers in the process 🤷‍♂️

How would Boris like to be remembered in the future? As the Prime Minister who cancelled Christmas? Nah. Didn’t think so.

I wouldn’t be surprised at a lockdown in the first few days of the New Year though.

Yep he may well try a lockdown in the New Year but if they dont extend the furlough/ give out grants like last March/ April it will destroy thousands of businesses and millions of jobs will go that is for sure, also he would have to do it before the students go back to Uni and that would mean the end of Uni Education for the winter/ spring term!

Im not sure people will put up with another lockdown, they did it last time mainly as they were scared and to save the NHS, most people are now not scared of the virus and certainly most people have seen thru the mantra of saving the NHS again as unless you have the virus the NHS in most areas refuse to treat you and that's before you start on the GP's who have all but closed the doors but still getting paid by the NHS.

The Welsh Air Ambulance has today said they are shutting 5 shops and that they may have to stop flying next year as their income has all but dried up! Things cannot carry on as they are!

We have had a very realistic fake tree for the last couple of years. Daughter not happy, but she doesn’t live here anyway.
Its much better than dragging a half soaked tree into the living room, and trying to get it to stand up.
Nearby farmer buys an artic load to sell on, even has a couple of reindeer for the children to pet. Says it pays for their foreign holiday every year.

Daily deaths are rising fast now because they now record flu deaths as C- 19 deaths ( have been for about 2 weeks )

And Take todays death figure, well for Devon it was i think 6 deaths recorded for today, only problem is that two of the deaths actually happened in APRIL but added to todays figure..... so if that is the same in every county then deaths no doubt are much lower than we are being led to believe.

Yep there are cases of younger people getting the virus, there is no vaccine and even if there is one they wont be giving it to anyone under 50 unless you are in a at risk group so sooner or later anyone under 50 is most likely to get the virus anyway!

If you get normal flu badly it is very unpleasent and can take many months to fully recover from but they dont lock the country down for normal flu!

How long will it be before some top scientists say we will have to learn to live with Covid19, to get immune to it !!!!!
In my ignorance , do some vaccines work by giving the human body a small dose of the virus ,that one is trying to get the human bodies immune system to build up its own resistance to it(Virus).??
Surely worldwide society and worldwide finance cannot indefinitely live with social society go in and out of lock every 2/3/or 4months as financially unsustainable.

How will the health service cope though?
