Good points front suspension is good when it's working vision is pretty good Bad points (in my experience of 2200 hrs on one) lacking in power generally unreliable it's rarely anything serious just stupid niggles from the seat rubbing pipes through to faults in the electrics .it's currently parked up with a trailer on as the linkage decided to stop working tonight something to do with the fender buttons apparently. The worklights are really bright but are more spot than floodlights so don't cover much are. Mine is a cebis model the armrest rattles and squeaks around. Gearbox is jumpy and has a big delay between gear 2 and 3 in all ranges but not all the time(yes it's been calibrated lots of times and hasn't helped) I had a hydraulic driven fert spreader till this year and if you were running along at 1400rpm and were trying to run the hydraulic flow just a wee bit high it beeps constantly so could only just get enough oil to run spreader or had to run at high revs. That bolt on pto shaft is a pain in the ass it likes to come slack unless tightened every day when drilling. I could easily go on but put it this way I'm glad it's going in a few weeks. There's 4 of the new shape within 3 miles of me and they all seem to be pretty much the same there's usually something needing attention.

This is a little concerning
There was another thread on this a while back I got shot down in flames for badmouthing the gearbox etc but I'm only being honest about it. If the tractor had been good we'd have kept it at the end of the hire period but it's not for us so heading back to the darker green right or wrong time will tell.

Is there some vibration from the shaft or the hardi spicers we've had Claas for 12 years now and never lost or had a bolt slacken on the stub shaft.
None at all on the power harrow brand new last backend runs as smooth as can be. I've had it happening with hired muck spreader when they're vibrating like hell but the drill shouldn't bother it. Neighbour next door has it happening with his baler every now and then as well. No real rhyme or reason to it either.

The 6 bolts that hold the stub onto the tractor can never seem to keep them tight I'd loctite them in but have one machine on a 21 spline shaft so couldn't

Use loctite. You'll still be able to undo them when you need to. Are the two dowels that go into the stub still there?

Class are getting very popular here and are gaining market share , one of the biggest tillage contractors has changed from JD and fendt to all class , traded in a 939 last week for a class , this is s guy who doesn't take decisions lightly and runs a very big business , 4000 ac tillage , 3000 of silage and 400 dairy cows .

Anyone had trouble with mf ones which are exactly the same? we have had a fair few tractors like it and no bother even on big baler etc.

Had a dowel and 2 bolts come out on a mf once just replaced and loctited in and never any bother after.
maybe its a faff if you have to change stubs often but everything I have is on 6 spline

I run 3 claas tractors all 600 series arions. 1 new shape 65 reg 2500 hrs
Old shape 12 reg 7000 hrs and 11 reg 8500 all are doing good. Had class tractors since 2004 when claas bought over Renault they were bad at the start and got a bad name but now they are a lot better. The 65 reg tractor has never been back in dealers yard the 12 reg has just had a clutch pack renewed £4000 repair bill. But we went from John Deere and now driver pick claas they do everything we ask of them. The old shape lose a lot of money but both were bought second hand so biggest loss was someone else's. The 65 reg tractor was bought brand new and I'm hoping as it's the new shape it will hold its money better as any second hand ones I see seem to be holding there value
