Claas Arion 650 injector problems

Good evening.

My 2015 Claas Arion 650 brought up fault code 7765 yesterday, and started running a bit rough. I changed the 2 fuel filters which dismissed the warning light and error code but it returned within 30 mins of operation.

Dealer diagnosed injector number 2 failure this morning via the medium of laptop computers, and have quoted several thousands of pounds for a set of injectors and the labour.

My question is, at 5000hrs, would you accept this as normal wear and tear? Anyone else had similar issues on these latest Arions?

If only one injector is faulty surely it is overkill to replace the entire set if the others are within spec?

The engineer in me agrees with the dealer to change all of them, the cash conscious in me only wants to change the faulty one. The trouble is, the labour alone I’ve been quoted for is eye watering if I change just the one or all of them. Tractor has done 1000hrs with me and no trouble, worrying that others have a fearful opinion of them...

Sandy, you were correct. Dealer diagnosed incorrectly, it was the ECU plug that had broken down inside. It’s rare, but it’s a joy when things don’t turn out as bad as one hoped!

Does anyone have one of these with noisy cab suspension? Mine seems to ‘graunch’ when going over bumps. Smooth enough, and not a knock or a squeak, but a graunching/grinding noise. Any ideas anyone?

Many thanks for all your input.

Have you checked around all the shocks and springs?
Have the rubbers worn through on the torsion bar across the back of the cab?

Visually all seems in order, went around cab mounting bolts and all are done up well. Is the torsion one the bar running sideways behind the spook block etc?

Had this in the past with Arion tractors the bolts for the torsion bar ( one from cab across back of spool block onto the chassis mount) all bolts are checked and seem tight because they are stud locked go round them all slacken them all then retighten them all you will get a bit on them all once retightened.

I had similar problem with my Arion 640 2009. The injectors were changed at 5500hrs. The engine works very bad, rough . With the new injectors everything is ok, just like new. I have changed 6 injectors, because its not sure that after 200-300hrs another one will not die.
