the word engine disappeared somewhere!! Typing to fast on ioad once again 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
I know that MF do not have engine mountings and I believe Fendt have a similar unitary construction, albeit with a cast frame to support the weaker engine block. Or is Fendt using a soft mounted engine with short propshaft similar to Deere's? The thought had never occurred to me and I've never got that up close and personal with a Fendt to be sure.

If your talking about a dyna 6 tractor replacing the beville springs requires a lot more stripping than doing a damper replacement.

But I would be interested to know if there is a quicker way

God yes, I’ve done dampers with air con pipes still connected and just open them 6 inches and if everything looks dry just stick new damper on with ratchet!! Power shuttle out means wheeling engine to next parish job!!!

There has to be something there to take up shock and allow for slight misalignment etc. You can actually see the shaft underneath on Fendts so can’t think the red version is much difference
There is a rigid cast spacer which might as well be fully enclosed but isn't, for easy access. No need for any more allowance to be made for misalignment than if it was indeed fully enclosed and filled with oil.

Surprised your TMs haven’t had dampers go. Shouldn’t really cost thousands to do either, good chap will have it split, replaced and stitched back together in less than a day. Not done a Claas but Mfs and Nhs can be done in matter of hours.
A TM155 takes 4 hours max to split repair and out the door 7726 Mf takes me a little longer 8- 10 hours Depending on loader brackets !

You must of done a few to get them done in 4 hours taking into account the prop and front suspension cradle!!! Never done a lateish Massey but seen plenty done on facebook and they don’t look the easiest to do. Last Massey I did was a 62 IIRC and cheated by only opening it 4 inches with hoses still atached and squeezed a damper in. Spigot felt ok and everything was dry!! 🙈🙈🙈🙈

After 4,700 hours our Claas Axion 850 put a transmission issue on the Cebis Screen, which it transpires relates to a sensor on the bell-housing controlling the power boost. Within the bell-housing there are two plates held together with springs connecting the engine and transmission. One spring within the the bell-housing plate has fallen out and the other is loose which has damaged the sensor. As consequence the tractor has needed to be split costing several thousand pounds.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and is so has Claas helped with the cost? View attachment 900913

Yes our Axion 840 did the same at 6500 hours. It's an unnecessarily expensive repair from a bad design fault in the earlier Axions which Claas don't help you out with - the sensor is on the outside of the bell housing in later Axions making it a simple & cheap repair

What year would it have to be to have the sensor outside the bell housing ?
Also what year did they start fitting FPT engines…… was it 2014 ?
