Claas GPS Pilot - Third Party GPS?

Got a friend with a Lexion 760 which keeps losing fix with the built in receiver, as the grain tank shades out half the sky, leaving only 3 or 4 GPS sats visible (no option for other constellations in this model)
Is it possible to use a third party receiver with the GPS/CEMOS display in the cab?
I note that currently only power and CAN seem to be connected, but there is a DB9 connector on the rear so perhaps it's possible to give it an NMEA serial stream?
Thanks

Yes, it is possible, we have such a solution.

Here is a 1-minute video shows the features and a 2-minute video shows it used in different brands such as John Deere, Fendt, New Holland...

Not exactly the same thing if the FJD steering wheel can be fitted on several tractor and combine brands or if the FJD GNSS receiver can be used along with the Claas GPS/Cemos screen!

Reach RS2, expensive but solid.... Pull in a multitude of sats and runs NTRIP nicely, even an idiot can get it to work.... and I mean an idiot...like me! ;)

Get a cable to go from the Reach RS-232 to the DB9 port on the Claas? However, I am sure there will be cheaper options :) However, all this depends on the Claas/GPS accepting an NMEA stream as you say!

All probably too late though, having seen the date of the OP! :ROFLMAO:

In July, we opened the applications window for farmers to join our Sustainable Farming Incentive pilot.

The Sustainable Farming Incentive is 1 of the 3 new environmental land management schemes. It sits alongside the future Local Nature Recovery and Landscape Recovery schemes.

Through the Sustainable Farming Incentive, farmers will be paid for environmentally sustainable actions – ones that are simple to do and do not require previous agri-environment scheme experience.

We are piloting the scheme to...
