Claas & John Deere tie up

Good idea. Claas have been behind the curve on this for ages & Deere were pioneers for kit like Greenstar. Times have changed.

There's nothing worse than having one box of tricks that won't talk to another brand. Both manufacturers blame the other & the customer is no closer to solving the problem :banghead:

I’ve been running a jd screen in my lexion for autotrac and yield/moisture maps for 3 years now. System works well.

Did it involve a lot of hassle and expense installing it? Autotrac is easy enough with a motorised steering wheel ATU kit
I fitted it myself in an afternoon, the newer models (700 series) it just plugs in and will operate the Claas steering system so no need for the atu steering wheel.

What kit do you use? We changed from jd to claas combine and cant believe how crap the autosteer is. Jd was miles ahead on that front!

I use the Agra-gps bridging unit, I think Ray Valley Tractors are now the uk distributor. However I imported mine directly from the guy in Canada who makes them.

Going the next step beyond what (I think) 365FarmNet can offer, there are several FMIS “data bridge” or “data routing” products now on (or soon entering) the market.

For example has anyone heard of or is actively using agrirouter?

They appear to have partnered up with Amazone, Deutz, Grimme, Hardi, Holmer, Horsch, Krone, Kuhn//Rauch, Pottinger etc and the AGCO brand stable...

I’ve signed up for an account but not set it all up yet.
