Claas Lexion 460

I have the above machine. The hydraulic tank low level light and buzzer won’t go off. It does my head in. Any idea why and how can I bypass it.

Need it gone

Have you cleaned the sensor in the tank normally just metal stuck on magnet

I haven’t but this might make sense as I have just had to replace the hydro pump.

Protocol for this repair would be ;
New hydro pump
New hydro motor
New hydraulic tank
Every hydro related pipe changed.
All to eliminate cross contamination of new parts with residue from previous failure.
Might get away way with it depending on the severity of the original failure but I would be changing the oil and filters twice as often for the foreseeable.

Failure was the charge pump within the hydro unit. Not finding metal in the system but still looking for it.

Oil and filters will be changed on short intervals

Look harder.. first handful will be on the level sensor and drain bung!

460 will be fine hydros never went that bad. You can get a additional filter for them that goes in cooling circuit just to be on safe side

Hopefully your right. I cannot find metal anywhere in the system magnet in the tank, magnet in the oil removed from the system, hoses of and inspected, oil filtered through cloth and nothing found. Going to check pipe on drive motor when I get a chance. Not sure what else I can do.

Makes sense. It’s the same hydro as on the 480 as I got one from a burnt unit with low hours. The machine isn’t worth spending new price on a hydro for.

if your worried get this 0771951.1 from claas its a seperate filter to clean up the system
