Claas Lexion Hybrid 7600 vs Lexion 6 Walker 6900

Im curious to know how well the 6900 straw walker combine compares to the 7600 hybrid. They both share the same 507hp engine and physical size/ graintank size so I wasn't surprised to read that the 6900 was a big improvement over the old 670 flagship 6 walker model. Does the 6900 mean some previous users of the 760/750 hybrid machines are now considering the flagship straw walker machine with its increased output and better straw quality?

I think once you have had a rotary/hybrid you would not go back. Depends a bit on cropping though. The 6900 may suffer less depreciation.

Edit: Is the straw quality actually better? All these modern big straw walker combines have 3 or 4 threshing elements before the straw gets to the walkers. They are all semi rotaries in my book.

The 6900 claimed a record for being the highest output straw walker machine todate. Its claimed it actually outperforms the old hybrid 760 narrow body, so when farmers change from a 760/750 they wont be loosing output but actually gaining it. So given that fact maybe a few existing hybrid users will switch to straw walkers.

It’s the fluffing action of the walkers that makes it fall onto the stubble not blasted into it that makes the straw better however smashed it is I have a 650 and you can smash straw with it but it still gets wind through the swath

Sure the new hybrids have more output as well tho?

We put our 650 with a 22ft against a 660 with a 25ft and a 750 with a 30ft 4 yrs ago and the walker machine just couldn't cope with more straw the 750 made a fool of both so we got that.
