Do people find the levelling system reliable or does it give trouble (£££?) once they get to 10/15 years. Quite a few second hand combines about with it now.

Our 570 had done 3k hours when sold it and Montana part never gave any bother.

It does add a lot of weight. Which might be a issue if this weather continues. Smaller grain tank l.

Agree with this - we ran the one in my Avatar for several years. Montanna means you are limited on tyre size too. It was very effective though but we did add 3d sieves as we were going beyond the 18% limit to make the ultimate hill side machine. Double check if they have been fitted if you are doing a lot of steep work. Now run a 760tt with 4d sieves but I think the self levelling sieves in a NH on tracks (up to 17%) take some beating, as a compromise.

The original Montana models were not great even new . We had one the first year they came out, a 430 ,03 reg and it was not right . Replaced with a 07 reg 530 , and that had all the issues of the first one fixed and was v good . Replaced with a 12 reg, 750 , and that was equally good .
Not sure when the 430 changed to a 530 , 06 maybe ( ?), so my advise would be to be weary on a pre 06 model.
Ps we also fitted 3d sieves as we were going beyond Montana alone on all models we had .

How would you compare the 760tt against the montana on side slopes? Can the 4d sieves almost make up for it, or still a noticeable difference?

4d is not as good as Montana - a very noticeable difference. While we have some steep slopes we don't have enough that we cut 'side on' to justify Montana over tracks.
