Claas mowers

It’s that time of year!

Now Claas isn’t a brand I’d usually think of for mowers, but been looking for a cheap ish trailed mower and came across a Claas 3050. Generally I’ve always thought Kuhn/JD for mowers and know nothing about Claas so I’m looking for anyone with experience to comment with helpful advice.

Do they cut well?
What are their weak points?
Are spares ok/dear/outrageous?

Bought a second 3050tc to keep me going to end of the season, after a troublesome Krone. Kept if for 4 years before trading in for new Claas front and backs

I’ve had the 3050 and they are a great mower , I’ve since owned kvenerland and pottinger , and now I have a class triple mower on the back , I bought secondhand , great machine with a stronger bed than most other makes

Thanks guys, good news that nobody seems to have anything bad to say about them!

But that makes me wonder, what are some bad trailed mowers to avoid?

Claas trailed mower is more prone to tipping over if you are turning left on a hill with the bed up.

other than that though not a bad mower.
the newer P cut bed is an improvement on the older one.
Had trailed rear. Now mounted Claas front and rear.
Jd 1365 still hard to beat. For a trailed mower

I would have totally DISAGREED with you on the tipping over point, until yesterday. I have been using claas since 2004 and maybe I was taking it a bit fast but couldn't believe it happened.
It happened all the time with my previous non claas discos.
A vrry good mower in my opinion
