Claas Scorpion help

My friends 6030 has a rear hub that has jammed solid and much damage has occurred. We have taken it apart to see what's what and will be making a list of required parts in the morning and getting a price from Claas. But in the meantime, is it possible to get Spicer axle parts direct or from another manufacturer? Does anyone know of a Scorpion being broken anywhere? Those axles must be on plenty of other agricultural or industrial machines.

From experience of our Manitou ,used hubs are £1k-£1.5k,new near enough double! Try googling "rustyparts",our last hub came from there.

I’d definitely start by getting (new replacement) prices via Claas dealer. That’s definitely where the largest number of these machines made it here. I wouldn’t automatically assume that parts via a Kramer dealer here would be any cheaper or more easily gotten.

Yes we are one of the Dana Spicer agents in the UK. If you contact us with the numbers off the axle plate and a list of what you require we are happy to quote. We keep in a few different end reductions so depending on the type we may have it in stock.

Hello

I do spicer parts, just done a load for export to Thailand for a manitou!

driveshaft, bearings, king pin kits, planetary top hat complete with gears, wheel bearings, hub seals etc etc, 2 x sets of brake discs and some other bits. just over £3.5k all new genuine spicer parts :)

Complete planetary set including top hat assembled with 4 gears, the outer ring gear and its carrier gear is £840 from Manitou on a next day delivery.

If you can wait I have a used spicer axle due in for breaking. (how ever they are not all the same so pictures and axle serial number would be advised. Claas numbers will mean nothing to me!:)

I wouldn't bother, claas prices on spicer are just silly, nearly £500 for a track rod end when Manitou price is £90:confused:
