Is there any way of editing plots in telematics website ?
I cut our first field yesterday and weighed a trailer 1/2 way across so the calibration factor changed mid field
Is there any way of editing the other plots down to this level so when I export to gatekeeper it gives a true yield ?

John Deere has the option to retrospectively adjust the calibration. I also try & calibrate with test weighing in the first field. The mass flow meters are usually within 10%. I'm no fan of Claas's volumetric measuring as the constantly changing density (specific weight) makes errors more likely.

A simpler method would be to input the new calibration factor at the end of the field. A chat to Gatekeeper would be useful - they should be able to talk you through how to adjust each bit as you're on a Complex Job. I run a spreadsheet for each field, remeasure the heaps at the end and adjust the combine figures again. I do this once more at the end of the season when everything has gone over a weighbridge though this is not much anyway.

How far out was the meter before the calibration?

It was a proper pub yield 12t/h but it was nearer 8 in truth
spoke to gatekeeper they said as it came as one file it cant be altered ah well lesson learnt
don't alter mid field

Yield map jobs do need setting up carefully if you're exporting them to the combine - best to speak to Farmplan first. You might be able to recalibrate them at the end but really you're after mapping consistently, even if that's 10% away from reality. You can add a note to an individual field in the job to remind you later where you altered the machine.

Claas yield monitoring is quite frankly crap. Doesn’t matter if you alter the SG every 10 minutes/when it changes or never, the yield summaries for fields is always at least 25% out. It’s so useless we now just don’t bother as we have weighbridges to give accurate yields per field.

However the maps that are produced are still useful as it shows the variation of the yield within the field which allows investigation if it’s big variations, just ignore the figures that’s all.

I know gatekeeper can alter it but no we don’t want it or use it.

You would of thought that Claas would of pulled their finger out over their shite yield meters ,,,,,. I took a load of beans to the local store to weigh on Friday to see how far out the combine was on last years calibration ,,,, wasn't going to change calibration as we only had 30 acres to cut

It was 20 kg out over 12 ton on the trailer !!!!!!!!!
But doesn't matter as you Claas boys think I'm talking crap all the time :)

The way I do it is leave the claas cal number alone at something roughly correct then import maps into gatekeeper via device manager to a plan

In the plan you can change actual qty harvested and it will adjust each mapped point by that % giving you a very accurate yield map

As they all work the same I don’t think there is any difference in brand accuracy

It’s all down to how well and how often you calibrate them

Seem like the new JD machines are getting weigh cells however which has to be the ultimate way to do it if they can get over challanges re vibration and movement that is

You can open the file (excel) and edit each sample point. Pretty sure you can also edit each SG set point

If your stuck email me the file and I will have go for you if you like ?

They don't work the same. Most use weighers - normally a plate at the top of the clean grain elevator that measures the force of the grain thrown off the paddles. As density decreases, so does the force on the weigher so it corrects itself. Claas use a magic eye to detect the volume which is why they need recalibrating for specific weight so often.

Nothing is infallible. The weigher on my JD would be within 5% but never spot on as the moisture meter is usually a bit out. Mine get corrected after harvest and again after it has all been sold.

When I used to calibrate the class it was pretty good as was our JD before that

Didn’t realise they worked in different ways but every days a school day on TFF !

All a bit academic when you have use of weighbridge a though
